The past month has been full of exciting activities and lifetime experiences!
The best experience was our trip to California with Project Sunride to launch Karman Alpha, our biggest and most powerful rocket, in Mojave Dessert. Unfortunately, due to an upper stage motor failure, the aimed apogee was not achieved.
Next comes the visit to California Science Center, where I saw Space Shuttle Endeavour, which completed 25 space flight missions from 1992 until 2011, traveling nearly 130 million miles! We also visited SpaceX Facility in Los Angeles, where we saw a real Falcon 9 Booster.
The most exciting and lifetime experience was when I spent 2 days at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where I met a real NASA Astronaut, saw Space Shuttle Atlantis, tried the Space Shuttle Launch Simulator, got trained for a real docking simulator that is currently being used on the International Space Station and of course saw all the exciting exhibits, from the real Apollo 13 Spacecraft to a Saturn V Rocket (in full scale!).
Finally, got interviewed by two Greek News Channels, where me and Zefy Pissaki shared our passion for rocketry with the Greek Community.

Last Sunday, Sheffield Space Initiative Society went to Midlands Rocketry Club to launch 7 rockets for the UKSEDS - UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space National Rocketry Championship.
Many congratulations to all society members for their excellent performance! It was very emotional to seeing their hard work paying off and such a relief to see those smiles on their faces.
Now that this academic year is coming to an end, I am stepping down from President of the society. No matter the difficulties I have experienced, now that I reflect back, I am gonna miss every part of working with these people! Sheffield Space Initiative Society will always have a very special place in my heart. Starting a project from scratch and seeing it thriving was a blessing!
Special thanks to everyone that contributed in this project. Without the help, advice, support and guidance, this wouldn't have been possible!
I am leaving the society in good hands! Louis Wallis is taking over and I am very excited to see what's coming up next! Good luck Louis! I am sure you will be an excellent President and am confident about another very successful year for Sheffield Space Initiative Society with even greater achievements!

I am very happy to share that I have accepted an offer for a 12-month placement at Airbus Defence and Space, in their Project Management team starting in Summer 2023. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I am excited to get started with this new chapter. I would like to thank my friends and family who have supported me throughout this process.
Also, special thanks to everyone involved in Project SunrIde and Sheffield Space Initiative Society, I've had so much fun working with you and getting the chance to develop my skills alongside you! 🚀 🛰 ✈
